Founded in 2015, their business is having a rapid growth in this short term and is able to compete in the vast web hosting industry. They started out with the mission to provide high-speed, reliable, and scalable web hosting service to individuals and small businesses that is easy and affordable, with superb customer service and support.

They are pretty successful so far. In our NameHero Reseller Hosting Review, we will try to list and point out their Pros and Cons.

01 Performance

NameHero is all about performance and support. If you look at the plans on their website, the first thing that they display is LiteSpeed. They advertise performance first which shows they really want to highlight that. LiteSpeed web servers are 10 times faster than Apache with MariaDB.

They use Pure SSD Raid 10 Storage which allows for quick page load response time and better performance. Aside from that, they also have Cloudflare with Railgun Support. Now we do know that we can get Cloudflare for free, but Railgun is only offered on the Business plan which cost you $200 per month. Now that is something. Image below shows how Railgun works.

We have a blank WordPress site loaded on their US Data Center and we are monitoring their server uptime and performance. The site is hosted from a Reseller Hosting Plan and not on their Shared Hosting plan. We do this so that we can get valuable insights for our NameHero Reseller Hosting Review.

Response Time Test

The demo site is performing well when compared to others. The average response time is 731ms and its APDEX score is close to 1. The site only had a downtime of one minute over the period of one week since we start monitoring the server.

The Apdex score is a ratio value of the number of satisfied and tolerating requests to the total requests made. Each satisfied request counts as one request, while each tolerating request counts as half a satisfied request.

 

In simple word, the server’s performance is good if the score is close to 1 and bad if close to 0.

Load Test

We also wanted to see how our test site will handle traffic during peak time. For that, we use a tool called Load Impact.

The test gradually sends traffic up to 50 visitors at once for a duration of 12 minutes to see how the server handles the active requests.

Speed Test

We also gathered speed test results of the hosted site from multiple locations for our NameHero Reseller Hosting Review. We have shared our findings in the table below.

This is quite normal since Data Center location has a positive impact on Loading Time. So you should always choose the Data Center that is nearest to you. We can surely bring down the loading speed if do some speed optimization and enable CND on the site. Since this is a test site, we never do any speed optimization.

Speed test scores may vary a few milliseconds if you try to do the test again since server peek time and other factors can affect it. So, I will suggest you run the test yourself again using our test site URL.

02 Pricing

The sign up price is cheap since they offer great introductory price but their renewal is quite expensive when compared to others. The amount of disk space offered is almost the same but price differs alot.

NameHero offers a 30 days money back guarantee but they do have several conditions for it. Refunds are limited to one per customer and do not include any additional services purchased such as WHMCS licenses/license upgrades, domain registration, migrations, dedicated IPs,

03 User Friendly

I won’t say that NameHero has the visually best website or client area when compared to others. If you look at their reseller hosting plan page, it just floods with content and not visually appealing. For the client area, they are using WHMCS. You can view your addon, and nameserver details on a single page without needing to navigate which is good.
